For the last ten years I have been a very active member of the Burlington community at every level – neighborhood projects and improvement, local city politics & campaigns, engagement and activism on city issues, and participation in larger city planning around equity and justice.
My professional career has involved a variety of the duties of Justice of the Peace including, producing and overseeing a variety of events and ceremonies, registering voters, and participating in municipal committees and processes.
I am ready to take on this more formal role here in Burlington and look forward to all aspects of the position. I believe that helping citizen access their rights as voters, helping new Burlingtonians register to vote, and most of all, celebrating the union of two people [no matter their actual or precieved genders] in marriage, are all important elements to what makes a city like Burlington vibrant and well-loved.
So, please vote for me, Llu Mulvaney-Stanak on Tues. Nov. 6th!
